C.O. Johnson & Sons Ranches

C.O. Johnson & Sons Ranches is a third generation family ranch located in Scandia, Alberta. Originally started in 1920 as sheep ranch, owners Blaine and Warren Johnson now use the rolling prairie hills to raise Red Angus and Hereford cattle. 

 

We pride ourselves in our dedication to taking care of our land and all our animals. We follow the Beef Code of Practice. 

 

C.O. Johnson & Sons Ranches was proud to be given the Commercial Breeder of the Year Award by the Canadian Red Angus Association in 2013.

We were featured in the Alberta Beef magazine in August of 2015.  

​

In 2016 we participated in MacDonald’s Canadian Verified Sustainable Beef Pilot Project and we achieved Verification Status.

​

In 2020 we received the Calgary Stampede BMO Farm Family Award for the County of Newell.

​
